Auction Description

Kenansville Cavalry Saber
This saber was manufactured at the Confederate States Armory in Kenansville, North Carolina. The armory was owned and operated by Louis Froelich.
The sword and scabbard are marked with the Roman numeral VII, assuring that the scabbard is original to the sword. The sword’s leather grip wrap and copper wire wrap are in excellent, original condition. The sword’s pommel has a casting flaw, which is common for these swords. The blade length is 35 inches. The grip and guard remain tight.
The sword is sheathed in its original scabbard. The scabbard has several dents at the top and bottom. These were most likely anti-rattle dents that were purposely made by the soldier using the saber. The scabbard is solid and original, with brass mountings and with a distinct overlapping seam.
This saber has been in my collection for 25 years. It is an excellent example of a Kenansville Cavalry Saber that would look great in any collection.

I will offer a 3-day inspection with full sales price refund minus all shipping charges when returned in same condition as shipped.
Payment MUST be in either a bank Cashiers Check or Money Order ONLY. Payment must be received within ten-days of any finalized deal or ended auction.
